Hi, i want to buy this power converter but will it work on a circular saw.

To figure that out look at your saw and see how may amps it takes to run it and take that times 120 volts and that will tell you how many watts you need. My saw is 13 amps so it needs 13X120=1560 watts. The inverter you are looking at says it will work at 1500 watts for 10 minutes. I don't think I would get it if your saw is 13 amp. Good luck.

1,200 watt continuious power will work about a 1/2 horsepower circular saw. I do not reccomend you use a 200 hp car to turn a 4 hp alternator to run a 1 horsepower saw with a 12 volt to 120 volt converter. Just rent a 120/240 volt generator from the rental yard. And you will save money buying an inverter wear and tear on your car, alternator and gasoline too. What you want can be had at harbor freight or northern tools and portable generators are really handy when power black outs happen
