animals, now? I know that they do not have a temple...that the dome of the rock is the muslim site. If you were jewish, wouldn't you fight tooth and nail for that spot back to build the temple? Can they sacrifice somewhere else????????????
I'm Christian and believe that jesus was the last sacrifice needed, btw.

We don't offer sacrifices anymore because all sacrificing had to be done in the Temple. No Temple, no sacrifice. In the meantime, sacrifices have been replaced by prayer.

We don't believe that God would accept Jesus as a sacrifice because he was not killed humanely in the Temple, his blood was not drained, and he was not burned in order for the aroma to ascend to God. After the aroma has ascended to God, the meat was consumed by the Levites who had no other means of support.

The next time you have a backyard BBQ, think of the aroma ascending to God. Is that really so objectionable? The objectionable part would be to kill an animal and to waste it's benefits to humans. Jews are forbidden from killing for sport or pleasure. If we kill an animal, it must be slaughtered in the most humane method possible and the meat should not be wasted.

Human sacrifice has NEVER been acceptable to God. We learned that from the near-sacrifice of Isaac.

No because only the messiah can re-build the Temple so why would we fight to get the site back to anger everyone when it wouldn't do any good in the end anyways? When messiah comes, everything will be different, but until then, we must respect the Muslim prayer site, it's only right.

What people fail to realize is that the main reason the God Yahweh started the animal sacrifice system at the Tabernacle with the original Israelites He and Moses led out of Egypt was to establish a central animal slaughter and food processing plant to feed the 600,000 plus group of people in the middle of the desert. God did this as part of His disease prevention plan written out in The Laws of Moses to keep these people healthy and well fed. People brought their live animals to the Tabernacle to be slaughtered, cooked by grilling over the fire on the altar, distributed back to the people to eat and then burn up the remaining carcass of the animals. This eliminated hundreds of dead decaying fly infested animal carcasses laying all around the Israelite's camp. God would have them continue this practice for the same disease prevention reasons once they reached the promised land and started building permanent Temples in their cities. This system of food distribution should be used in all over crowded poverty stricken countries to help eliminate the spread of food born diseases.

Because sacrifices are only done at the temple, but at the moment it is destroyed and the dome of the rock and masjid al aqsa is on top of it so it can't be done until it is rebuilt

because deuteronomy 12:5 says that the only place offerings are allowed is the temple.

and the prophecy is that before the messianic age, the jews will go a very long time without all these things:

"For many days the Children of Israel will sit with no king, no officer, no sacrifice, no pillar, and no ephod or teraphim. Afterward the Children of Israel will return and seek out the Lord their God and David their king, and they will tremble for the Lord and His goodness in the end of days." - Hosea 3:4

>>". If you were jewish, wouldn't you fight tooth and nail for that spot back to build the temple?"<<

faith in God trusts that it will be rebuilt when it is time, to put it rather simply.

>>"Can they sacrifice somewhere else?"<<

no. simply put, the location, ark, and rituals are crucial to the actual sacrifice. btu the sacrifices aren't needed ANYWAY. so its even less of a hurry.

why is it not needed? because it was revealed that after the temple was destroyed, remembering them and repenting would be sufficient, and that it was not the blood or the actual sacrifice that "did" anything, but the repentance.

CJ, I'm sorry your God is not powerful enough, or loving enough to forgive because he feels like it.
or good enough to accept honest repentance as enough reason to make forgiving worthwhile.

its not that deeds can earn it, per se, but that God is loving enough to forgive without payment, when its undeserved.
the "grace" concept isn't that unique. but its rather dishonest to call it grace if you have to have a sacrifice and belief in one singular belief.

no, animal sacrifice is not practiced. to accomplish this sacrement we'd desire to rebuild the temple is jerusleum and by some potential come across a sparkling extreme priest who's a right away decendent of the cohanim (extreme preists interior the situations of the torah). the prepare of prayer surpassed off of the ritual sacrifices.

Abraham or Ibrahim or Abram A.s. peace to him the upright one. Study him and you will see why and what happened with Ishmael A.s.

Allah be in mercy and blessings of their souls and tasks upon which great mercy was given.

Abrahim A.s. was the first Muslim that walked to Allah without intercession from anything he searched for him in his heart and found him a friend!

The books are of the very same meaning and message and nothing on the face of this earth will ever stop that. Links from Adam all the way to Muhammed SAW was made and you all have to one day see that, if you choose. If you don't, well then you will have to deal with that problem not any of us.

There's no Temple, so no sacrifices. The Temple will be rebuilt when the messiah comes. Until then, we follow the laws given to us without a Temple.
