Well vail is something for the first wedding but its the 20th century traditions change. I would go with a long veil. It would make you look thinner.

Traditionally the veil symbolizes the submission to the htb. For instance if it's a very long thick veil the wtb is very submissive, if it's a short say hat/veil thing then she's the opposite. Since this is your second wedding, I would suggest going with whatever looks good with your dress, or just go without one.

First of all , wear the veil if you want. These days it is pretty much anything goes. However, considering your stature I would go with a short veil. You might want to consider a tea length gown as well. It will make you look longer. The floor length will accent your weight.
Photographically, I would also consider candle light or ecru. That white hardly ever looks good on anyone. You have to have just the right complexion to pull it off. And if you are really contemporary a bit of color in your gown. A sash in a different color. In the past year I've photographed gowns with sashes in lavender, red, coffee and sage. The bit of color really makes the wedding portraits pop.

No veil. Get something flattering-I wouldn't suggest white for a second wedding, something you can wear again. Than you will really get your money's worth having an outfit you can use at some other time.

I'd say short. I think short veils look especailly nice with hairpieces (combs, clips, tiaras, etc).
My 1 & only wedding I wore a hat and the veil was already back, so pppbbbbttthhhhhh (That's a raspberry by the way) on tradition

My, but aren't there a lot of rude and hateful comments here! Sorry, about that! Sweetie, these days you don't have to follow ANY rules - you can wear a cathedral length white veil at age 50 on your 5th wedding - who cares? These people's opinions matter not! As to what looks best - without seeing you and your dress, it's hard to say, and I would also want to know how you were wearing your hair & what neckline your dress has, but I tend to learn toward shorter - maybe shoulder-length? In any case, much happiness & best wishes to you!

Personally, I wouldnt go with a veil at all, but I guess it is your choice. A veil is something i would only wear for a first wedding and then only if I was under 30. That is just my opinion tho. Why not go with an elegant updo and some flowers or something?

Which ever one you like best! It's your wedding!! But personally I think it depends on your dress. If your dress has a very ornate train or back, then I would pick a short veil so not to cover it up.

short. you know how they call over weight people head and shoulders. i think if you wear a long veil, it will look more like you don't have a neck. not being funny or anything I'm just stating the facts. I'm plus size too

Any veil would be okay. I don't think you should have a blusher though. ( the part that covers your face is really for first time brides) Just a veil that goes in the back.
