sorry to say but my hamster did this right before he died, he seemed dead already, but he was just passed out, taking him to a vet wouldn't be a good idea because you would be just wasteing your money, theres notthing you can really do now, just make sure hes comfortable in his last moments.

ALTHOUGH there may be a reason he may be doing this, is he in an area that is cold or drafty? your hamster may be hibernating! when they try to do this they breathe slowly, and it seems like they are dead, here is a website about it:

im sorry to say though that i think its more that he is dieing, best of luck with your hammy!

Please do not ever try to mate a hamster. There are actually hundreds of thousands of undesirable ones in the market on this planet and simply since anyone thinks it is cool to observe it does not warrant you the proper to make a host of animals undergo. If that is the one intent your considering getting them then do not. Your without doubt now not liable ample to manage them. As I've stated earlier than; hamsters are not toys. They are not play matters on your amusement. They are animals and deserve the equal appreciate as your cat or puppy and in case your inclined to reproduce a hamster move forward and breed your cat or puppy. Oh wait; it used to be most commonly neutered in order that it could not to restrict a flood of undesirable animals into the arena. Don't ever ever ever ever ever try to breed an animal. You must depart that to the certified experts. That's why they're certified and that's why they're experts. Because thay understand how to manage them and they may be able to uncover properties for them earlier than they have got even been born. If you have not even owned a hamster but then you should not. And if the very first thing your going to invite is approximately whether or not or now not they will kill each and every different when they breed then you definately must by no means get one.

Yeah...he's probably not doing so well. You can just take him to a small animal doctor. When my hamster started to be behave like that, it actually turned out that he had cancer...I didn't even know hamsters could get cancer. He had a tumor in his tummy and everything. It was crazy. We had him put down because of his suffering...you may want to consider the same.

i have had several. that is a very common thing for them to do just before they die. it may even start stuffing it's cheeks with food, but not eating any of it. as if it thinks it can take it with it when it dies. once it does go, you really should look into getting a rat. they live longer and are a lot more people orriented.

Is he in a cold habitat (lower than 60 degrees F)? HE might be in hibernation. If he is then pick him up and warm him. DO NOT USE A BLOW DRYER IT WILL BURN THEM!!

If he is in a normal temperature then I think he might be in his las moments. All you can do (if he's not in hibernation) is can makehim comfy in his last moments. Maybe talk to him or hold him, he might die in your arms if you do hold him.

Don't know what's wrong. But let's just pray he'll be okay. I don't know what else you can do but take him to a vet. Goodluck!
