Cain and Abel were the first and second sons of Adam and Eve, born after the Fall of Man. Their story is told in the Bible at Genesis 4 and in the Qur'an at 5:27-32. In both versions, Cain, a farmer, commits the first murder by killing his brother Abel, a shepherd, after God (called YHWH) rejects Cain's sacrifice but accepts Abel's.
Cain and Abel appear in a number of other texts, and the story is the subject of various interpretations. Abel, the first murder victim, is sometimes seen as the first martyr while Cain, the first murderer, is sometimes seen as a progenitor of evil. Modern scholars suggest that the story may have been based on a Sumerian story representing the conflict between nomadic shepherds and settled farmers

Some scholars think so. It's possible based on the Hebrew verbs in Genesis 4.
The passage "and again she bare his brother Abel," has led some Biblical scholars to speculate that Cain and Abel were twins, also suggested by the constant use of my brother, your brother, further on in the tale.
This conclusion has led some to compare the story of Cain and Abel to the Roman legend of Romulus and Remus
Same father, though.

Cain and Able had the same mother, Eve and the same father, Adam.
The Bible says nothing about them being twins.
In fact, the Bible is pretty clear that they were NOT twins.
Genesis 4
Cain and Abel
1 Adam lay with his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. She said, "With the help of the LORD I have brought forth a man." 2 Later she gave birth to his brother Abel.
Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil.

Cain was the first born son of Adam and Eve. Their next son was a boy whom they named Abel.
1 And the man knew Eve his woman; and she conceived, and gave birth to Cain (acquired), and said, I have received a man by Jehovah.
2 And she again gave birth, to his brother Abel (emptiness). And became Abel a shepherd of flocks, and Cain became a worker of the soil
Adam was the father of both.

Some Hebrew and Christian groups believe that Cain and Abel were indeed twins, and that Abel was the son of Adam, while Cain was of the seed of Satan.
I don't believe it, but find the theory very intriguing.

you mean Abel
we're told Eve gave birth to Cain and later gave birth to Abel. It's not likely they were twins due to Cain's very name and why Eve gave him that name. Adam was father of Cain and Abel.

if you are referring to Cain and Abel from the Bible, who are sons of Adam and Eve, then my answer is: they are not twins. Cain is older than Abel.... and yes they have the same father and mother

No Cain was older, that is why he was Able's keeper. Adam was both their father. According to the story anyway.
