have to bash us in order to justify their own faith? I do. I think that they say things like he does "all Catholics are going to hell" "no Catholics are saved" yada yada, because they are so insecure in their own faith.
Your opinion?

I think people who do this sort of thing do not have a faith to justify. Sociopathology and bibliolatry are not traits of an authentic faith in God.
The true believer in God and follower of Jesus is like Jesus; I think of when the Lord met the Samaritan woman at the well at Sychar. Even though Jesus said a few words about the Samarian faith that suggested he thought it lacked something, he brought a message to this woman other than that, "You're going to hell."
Instead he gently explains to her that, "true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and truth; and indeed the Father seeks such people to worship him."
Rather than wail on her for choosing the 'wrong denomination' of Jewish faith, he speaks to her of the Higher things - spirit and truth. Jesus knew that a compassionate demeanor, and preaching the gospel leads people home.
Anti-Catholic activists simply looking to tweak Catholics give up true faith to preach a false gospel. Indeed, those they lead, they lead AWAY from Christ.
"For you travel around by sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much of a son of Gehenna as yourselves." (Matthew 23:15)

Not only insecure in their faith, but also insecure in Jesus and God and the bible, that's why they rely on such things as "Chick Tracts" the more dirt and lies they spread about the Catholic Church(which by the way Protestants is the ONLY church Jesus established)the better they look. What do expect when alot of the "born again" type churches have "$25.00 and become an ordained minister" type preachers who have NEVER studied the bible, the sacred traditions of Jesus's church, or the 7 Sacraments that the Lord gave to the church.

i don't think he is trying to justify his own faith it seems that he is blinded by his own ignorance. sadly many of our seperated brothers and sisters in christ have a tendancy to lash out on the one true faith many of which have no idea about catholicism in the slightest. the best thing we can do for people of that nature is to pray and to show by both words and actions why the catholic church is the pinnacle of christianity. god bless.

I'm not a Catholic and I don't like CJ. I love him in the Lord, but I don't like him and I detest his attitude towards Catholics.
You can't paint everyone in any denomination with such a broad brush.
I suspect CJ is a young kid who has been listening to a Pastor who is an anti Catholic bigot.
I pray that one day CJ will wake up and smell the coffee, but then again perhaps he's not yet old enough to drink coffee.

As a devout Catholic, I love CJ, I wish him well, and I even have a little prayer for him:
May God grant CJ all the desires of his precious little heart!
And God ... please give CJ a double portion of wisdom and discernment, too.
You know how badly he needs it.

"Plankton: 1% evil, 99% hot gas"
-from Spongebob Squarepants
I think that best describes him, not evil, just 99% hot gas.
He told me he could rebutt purgatory so well that it would use up the character limit. I asked him to just write one point, he says "purgatory's not in the bible.period" that's not a very good argument.
overall, people like him are misinformed and almost arrogant about it. As Father K said, parroting untruths
but i suggest you don't ask questions about him, it encourages him and emboldens him.

No. I think it's pure lack of knowledge, brainwashing and lack of any real study of the Early Church.
The fellow parrots what he has been taught.
Remember what Bishop Fulton Sheen said.

i have never heard cj "bash" anyone... all i have seen him do is tell what the bible says... yes, he is direct, and to the point, but hes not bashing anyone...... and i would much rather someone be honest and direct, than tip toe around and sugar coat it....theres no need for it.
edit: ummm.... ignoring the obvious?? how?? i dont think it means he is insecure in his own faith..... everything he says is biblically based, so how whould that mean hes insecure? all its means is that hes tryin to tell ppl the truth!! which is a lot more than i can say for most catholics, mormons, etc.
edit: cj isnt a kid... hes in his 30s, and i think he even has children.
