Hi readers! I'm a high school girl who needs some help! I really want a flat stomach, but I have extra skin or fat or something in like a big circle of flab! Any suggestions to get it off? Like a short work out I can do everyday when I wake up and go to bed or something. It's just, my stomach doesn't look very great in my tennis outfits and tight clothes--- please help!! Thank you!

Most new studies are saying cardio works the stomach best. I agree. Running is probably my favorite. I add stomach execises at the end, just a ton of crunches, laying flat with hands under butt and legs straight and lifting legs barely off the floor, moving legs up and down without touching the floor. Pilates is also great. Also, bad carbs always go right to the stomach. So, stay away form bad food, refined foods and anything processed, especially sugar, fast food and pop. Eat lots of good protein (eggs, chicken, turkey, fish) and veggies...fruits for sweet tooth 1-2 a day and lots of water and a couple of whole grains mixed into your day, Like whole grain bread and/or oatmeal for breakfast in the morning, with no sugar, just mashed up bananas and raisins and soy milk or reg milk, whichever you prefer. Eating well and cardio do wonders for your stomach. My stomach went from a 38 to a 28 by doing all of this! Good Luck!

There is no exercise you can do that will spot reduce a particular area. The best thing you can do is exercise that works the major muscles of your body. You also may have a genetic predisposition for having a layer of fat on the abdomen. You can do regular pushups and squats when you get up, they work the largest portion of the body muscles. situps will not help reduce fat on the abdomen, they just tone the muscles under the fat.

Well you said flat stomach for both, so this is basically the age-old front vs. back debate. I'm an @ss man myself, so I'm gonna have to go with big butt and small breasts, but I can't stress the importance of /proportions/ too much.
