Yes this is a real Christian Church and miracles happen every day. You say God ignores your prayers? What prayers? Do you ask for selfish things? Are you asking just to tempt God?
Do you pray without faith believing that your prayer will never be answered? If the answer to any of this things is Yes then that is one reason? But above all are you a child of God? If the answer to this is No then that is your biggest problem. The only prayer that a lost person can pray and be sure that it is answered is the "Prayer of Salvation" Roman10:9-13. If you are a Christian then you need to ask God for things believing that you will receive? If you pray with anything in your heart other then love then you are wasting your time and God's.

Do you live your life for Him, or do you just go to church? Are you saved? If you are not, then you are not one of His. There may be something hindering your prayers. You have to be right with God when you are praying to Him. Do you only pray when you want something from God? Do you make demands on God? Sometimes God's answer is "No." Sometimes it is "Wait" and sometimes He is silent. You are questioning Him right now when you say "If" God is real...... Aren't you? So, you sound like you're really not sure if He is or not.
If you find miracles and such "scary" then it would make me think that you don't know the true power of God, and that you are doubting that He could actually do these things. God knows your heart. Why don't you read His Word, and then you will find that you will start to know Him better, and pray, not just for yourself, but for others as well. Do you Praise God everyday? We must remember to thank Him with praise and worship. I hope this helps. I'll pray for you. God Bless!

He's not ignoring you.
The only advice I can think of to give you at this time is to make sure that you are praying to the real God, and not some image of him that others have presented to you. Read the gospels (Mat., Mark, Luke, John) in private, pray in private.
It may be that you are in a church whose congregation /preacher is not a very good influence on you. There are frauds and posers everywhere. It has been my experience that extremely dramatic services (people being healed, people falling down in the aisles and talking in tongues, people testifying constantly that the Lord blessed them with excessive material wealth) are entertaining, but usually full of posers, and mostly devoid of spiritual help or nurture.
Remember, you don't have to go to church to worship. It is good for you, if you can find the right one. But remember Matthew 18:20: For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
I hope this helps. Be well.

Hi Amanda,
God is real, but I don't believe he does things like your guy reported. Very little of what people say about God is completely true. There is no substitute for Christian discernment. There is a fine line between common sense and God's Holy Spirit imparting spiritual understanding. The doubts that you feel about this church may in fact be God answering your prayers. God acts in this way much more often than by stopping speeding bullets. Specifically pray for discernment and understanding and with an expectant heart see if He doesn't answer your prayers.

Every one must work Out their own Salvation with the Lord. > Just because you don't see or experience any of these mighty works and wonders, does not by any means, say that You don't have Connections with God, Your Father. He Loves You very Much, and Hears "all" Of your Prayers. You must believe when you Pray, and "expect" God to Answer. He always does. That is the Most important KEY. (smile)

Of course God is real, BUT so is Satan, and He is called the Angel of Light.
He makes false religions and false claims look real and good.
This is to hide the truth from the ignorant and uninformed.
God is NOT ignoring you, He hears your prayers.
Pray the way His Son , Jesus taught in the Bible:
Matthew 6:5-15 and Luke 11:2,3,4,
Using Jesus as your mediator, Talk to God the Father , using His personal name Jehovah, Read your Bible on a daily basis, and then ask for further understanding as part of your prayer.
The truth will find you, and your questions, and prayers will truly be answered by the Creator of the Universe!

God never ignores your prayers. When you are hurting, he's carrying you. To be a true Christian starts in the heart and as for the church.........yes there are "real" Christian Church's but remember.......the body is a temple and it is where God's presence is felt the most. A church is where all gather in unison to worship him. Take a look inside sometime and you'll find him. :)

God hears every prayer. Sometimes the answer is yes, sometimes no, and sometime wait awhile. You need to always pray for God's will to be done. He knows which things are best for us and for that reason does not always give us everything we ask for. That is like any parent when their kid asks for something. Some things might harm you if you actually got them.
If you pray something that He has promised then you will always get that answer as a yes. God promises wisdom if you ask for it. I will pray that for you....to have wisdom to know which things to pray for and to see God's answers to prayer. Oh, and don't forget to thank Him for what He gives you.

there is no way to tell. if some one dies after a healing prayer, the church will claim that the person was healed anyway. The conundrum is that the more powerful a god you believe in the more useless prayer is. If god knows what will happen tomorrow then your prayers won't change anything.

Amanda, do not be discouraged for God is a very present help in the time of trouble. What he has done for others he will do for you. God is not a respecter of persons.
Some people live a lot closer to God then others. Enoch walked with God. Isn't that wonderful?
When you read your Bible and stay in prayer with him you learn how God speaks. Even Elijah, one of the greatest prophets in the Bible found that out. God came to him in a still small voice. 1 Kings 19th chapter. If you will read that story it shows God really does move in mysterious ways his wonders to perform.
If you seek him he will be found of you..if you seek him with all of your heart.
God considers you very precious and very valuable..may he show himself strong in your behalf...amen.
