I need to know if getting a Army ROTC or a Airforce ROTC scholorship worth the trouble. I'm trying my best to get one of them but my Army recruiter say's it is tough. I want to be an officer so that i can fly a helicopter. I really don't want to be a enlistee. Iam a senior at my school and i think it is too late to get a ROTC scholorship.

you do NOT need a 4 year degree to fly Helos in the Army. Their High School to Flight School Program will give you the opportunity to become a Warrant Officer and fly as long as you meet the requirements.

the AF only takes about 60% of qualified applicants. the Army..closer to 100%.

It is not to late. Do not talk to Army Recruiter about ROTC, they do not have anything to do with it. Figure out where you want to go to college at and contact their ROTC program. They have scholarships not only through the Army but allot have them through the university as well. If you do not get a scholarship this year, do not worry. They also have three year and two year scholarships. Also, you do not need a scholarship to be in ROTC or become an officer, I knew a few people who did it.

Truthfully, you recruiter doesn't have any inside knowledge on ROTC or ROTC scholarships.

Recruiters aren't even involved in the process.

Talk to your guidence counsilor.

And go talk to the nearest Univ with a ROTC detachment.

If youre a senior in high school or college?

if its high school, its not too late.

you could also serve in the military for a year before going to college, then apply.
