Those drinks have a lot of sugar and carbs, mostly useless calories, and you would be better off with diet drinks.

Depends on what you do in it's place. If you stop drinking pop and start drinking sweet iced tea then you aren't accomplishing much. The important fact is that most people that end up fat do it by consuming very little extra calories a day. Like in the neighborhood of 50-100 calories a day. It takes years to get fat but people are persistent when it comes to GETTING fat. So if you cut out 3 or 4 cans of pop a day (~600 calories) that should definitely get you in the losing weight category. The tough part is going to be not substituting any other calories. Good luck.

If you are talking about sugary pop like real coke, probably a lot. I dated this man and we broke up and then got back with him. He had lost around 60 lbs. I asked him what he had done and he said he gave up coke in favor of water, and just cut down on his food intake a little. He was drinking about 10 a day. I think it's very fattening, and I maybe drink a real coke 2 times a month. I usually drink water or crystal light or diet sodas. I am guessing you are from the Northern US, in the South no one calls it pop, we just call it coke or sometimes soda.

Depends on how much you drink. Pop is empty calories(in other words no more benefit than calories because pop is mainly sugar) Diet just mean less calories than the regular.
When you do an activity you burn calories. If you are swallowing more calories than you are burning away Fat is the results.
Even pop with artificial sweetner will make you gain.

it's gotta do your digestive system some good....but i would not imagine a huge weight loss would arise unless you were over weight and/or dieting in other ways too...
too much sugar can stick round the stomach area and increase the chances of diabetes 2. caffeine in coke is not good for the brain.
maybe a little now and again...exercise is the best form of weight loss..and water is absolutely the best thing to drink..
