Well, there's something one of my friends told me "Your hair changes every 7 years" I'm not sure because my hair always seemed the same for me, but I guess that's because I never did anything with it.

here is one site:

also, in case u didn't know, blond hair begins to turn darker with age, so it eventually turns brown. as for the frizzy hair......it's probably dry, so check the website

Other than dyes or straighteners there is no turning back I'm afraid. Puberty does mean things to hair. It has very little, to nothing to do with the products you used. Trust me, it is heredity. Sometimes these traits can skip one or many generations before popping up on some poor adolescent.

Yes, my hair darkened, thickened, and went from lovely curls at the ends, to a wavy frizzy mess!

"Who in our family has hair like mine?" I cried.

Well, several distant cousins, great aunts, but probably more directly from one of my great grandmothers.

Then again, you could try having a baby if you haven't already. My own hair did thin some and of course I lost some of the curl that I'd not only come to terms with over the years but had learned to love....lol. (*Sigh*)

Genetics and hormones.....geeez!

The only other thing I can think of that could slightly change how thick, thin, coarse or fine your hair grows in would be vitamin deficiencies, but, if you're healthy, it's not too likely, and I don't think it would affect the color, sorry.

Anyway, after 16 years? I'd say you just have to own it, it's yours for the keeping. Find a way to make it work for you or shave your head.

I wish you hair harmony!

That what happens to many people. I was born with black hair and now my hair is brown. I know, how could that happen, right? I was born with straight hair and now its curly, but thats what happened to me when I got older. If your hair was already straight, then you shouldnt have to use gel or mousse or w/e to make your hair more straight, just use hairspray. So I think you killed it. Try washing your hair with Dove Shampoo. Also you could try dying your hair back to the color you want it to be, but your not gonna get it to the same color.= ]♥

Hair naturally darkens as we get older. A LOT of us had sandy hair as kids, then dark hair by high school.

The junk you use is not helping your hair's health, but that is not changing the color of the new strands growing out.
