Please, whether you are Theist or Atheist, Agnostic too...
I've read alot of arragont, overbearing comments, questions, and answers in the subject of religion. I see alot of this also in the form of "fake tact" if you would, such as to insist that they are tactful, but do so in a way as to mock someone elses belief. So are you tactful?
And if you are, please explain how you can write a comment, ask a question or answer one "tactfully"
Furthur, and maybe more importantly, explain the importance of doing som how it effects others and how it will effect you.
Thanks.

I am what you would call an athiest...I don't believe in a higher power, but I also think that there is some kind of spiritual aspect to humankind.
I am able to be tactful because I know many people of many different beliefs--I count Christians, Muslims, Hindus, athiests, Jains, and Sikhs among my friends. I also have taken the time to read the Bhavad Gita, Torah, Bible, and Quran and understand quite a bit about others' beliefs. I personally don't feel that it is my place to judge anyone else's beliefs because religion is a personal matter that we all need to decide upon for ourselves.
When I am answering a question on religion, I look at it objectively and give my opinion in a polite manner...I don't make judgements about the asker...many of the questions asked on here are serious questions that people take personally, and really, courtesy should be the rule rather than the exception.
Even if one doesn't agree with the asker's personal religious beliefs, it is very rude (and narrowminded) to make condescending remarks about someone else's sincerely held beliefs.

If I'm giving serious answers or having a serious conversation in real life I can be tactful. Other times my goal is to get laughs so it's unnecessary. One negative about using some tact is that you may be mistaken as a flip flopper or fence-sitter by showing approval of all sides of the argument. I think that the best answers are often in the middle. No wonder I've become an agnostic...

If she's a well pal, simply inform her you do not wish to listen to approximately it anymore. Say precisely what you've got mentioned right here. That your no longer a prude, however you consider what occurs within the bed room is individual. If she real is a well pal, she'll have an understanding of. She would believe a bit of miffed to start with, however then she'll recover from it and transfer on.

I have to be honest, I don't put a lot of stock into being "tactful", or in not offending others. I tell the truth in my responses, and if it hurts another then so be it. It is not possible to please everyone, or anyone at times. It affects me not how others feel about my answers, because I know I tell the truth.

Tact? On Yahoo Answers? You ask the impossible. :)
Seriously, how many open internet forums on the subject of religion have you actually participated in before?

I can be quite tactful if the situation warrants. Of course, that's seldom the case here. Most people here are LOOKING for a fight.

I am tactful when I feel it's appropriate. There are times when blunt truth is preferable to catering the feelings of others.

I am not sure people are able to discuss religion tactfully. No matter how nice, polite, and earnest you are, someone, somewhere is going to be offended. Religion just seems to bring that out in people.

To put it tactfully, we hugged and said that we should be less obnoxious. Two time is enough, a thrid is really overkilll.
