Steven, unfortunately sweetheart, you aren't Peter Pan, you are going to age, just like the rest of us. Sure, you're enjoying this time of your life, but unless you die, you must progress in this life, thats what life is progress. I'm worried that you're sad about this, because most kids your age can't wait to hit 21 so they bust people out when they get carded buying booze legally. Perhaps there is a counselor of some type at your college that you can talk to. Yahoo Answers, it isn't really the place for your question or your concerns. Talk to your mom, I'm sure that everything will be all right.

You have the Peter Pan syndrome. We all age at different rates of speed physically and emotionally and mentally. It is that more people do age at about the same rate physically and mentally. The emotional I think can have the widest margin of range.
I don't know what you are studying in college but maybe something that will help you get a job working with the youth. Young people like it when older people can relate with them on their level.
You want to slowly grow into maturity instead of the world pushing and shoving you at a neck break speed into it.
Do not spend your time in sadness and misery. That in itself will age you fastest physically in your looks. You don't want those worry lines.

you cant stay a teenager forever. life goes on. as u mature, and experience things, the more you learn about life. let go of your anxiety..it's going to be alright. there is nothing you can do really. there arent any pills that keep you from 20. life is not a fairytale...again...let go.we all have different stages in life..and fortunately for us, the Lord gives us just as much time as we need in each stage. You have lived out this stage of your life and by nature's law ,which is the law set by God, it is time for you to move on to experience another stage in your life. your mother will be there for you, as long as she can, even when you are 30!! so do not be afraid , ok.

its nice to wanna stay that way but you kinda need to move on and be ready for what will happen in years to come. if you wanna stay the way you are for now then do it. act like you wanna act and do what you wanna do. age is jus a number you are as old as you wanna feel. but to be honest you should try and act a lil more like your age. you dont have to go out and have sex you can still have your mom take care of you like she does but you kind of need to make some steps forward in becoming your age. i am a 19 year old girl from NY but i'm away for college and i have to pay for some of my own stuff (like clothes, books and gas for my car) you can still have you parents help you out but to get farther and be more ready when you are out on your own completely you need to take some responsibilty on now, before it is too late

We don't all grow up at the same rate, in the same way. Your parents sound very protective and loving--maybe just a tiny bit oo protective, but who am I to judge?
I felt this way when I was between 12 and 13. Didn't want to be a teenager yet. So this is what I did.
I decided to remain myself--a tomboy, uninterested in early teenage things, for another year.
Just accepted myself as I was. Then life and experience came long and showed me that I had to begin to change, to meet the challenges of being older.
Just ease up on yourself a bit. Life is going to begin to ask questions of you. You need to face them and answer them one by one.
It's not a matter of saying, "O.K., look world, I'm a dude. Got all my dude stuff ready and here I go."
Sorry, if the lyrics to Neil Young's song, "Sugar Mountain" make for a very long answer. But I had to share them with you.
By the way, you sound like a wonderful person.
"Sugar Mountain" by Neil Young
Oh, to live on Sugar Mountain
With the barkers and the colored balloons,
You can't be twenty on Sugar Mountain
Though you're thinking that
you're leaving there too soon,
You're leaving there too soon.
It's so noisy at the fair
But all your friends are there
And the candy floss you had
And your mother and your dad.
Oh, to live on Sugar Mountain
With the barkers and the colored balloons,
You can't be twenty on Sugar Mountain
Though you're thinking that
you're leaving there too soon,
You're leaving there too soon.
There's a girl just down the aisle,
Oh, to turn and see her smile.
You can hear the words she wrote
As you read the hidden note.
Oh, to live on Sugar Mountain
With the barkers and the colored balloons,
You can't be twenty on Sugar Mountain
Though you're thinking that
you're leaving there too soon,
You're leaving there too soon.
Now you're underneath the stairs
And you're givin' back some glares
To the people who you met
And it's your first cigarette.
Oh, to live on Sugar Mountain
With the barkers and the colored balloons,
You can't be twenty on Sugar Mountain
Though you're thinking that
you're leaving there too soon,
You're leaving there too soon.
Now you say you're leavin' home
'Cause you want to be alone.
Ain't it funny how you feel
When you're findin' out it's real?
Oh, to live on Sugar Mountain
With the barkers and the colored balloons,
You can't be twenty on Sugar Mountain
Though you're thinking that
you're leaving there too soon,
You're leaving there too soon.
Oh, to live on Sugar Mountain
with the barkers and the colored balloons,
You can't be twenty on Sugar Mountain
Though you're thinking that
you're leaving there too soon,
You're leaving there too soon.

get rid of some of your anxiety! i know how you feel, but everyone needs to grow up, just keep your youthful memories and traits with you wherever you go and you'll stay for ever young! your parents had to grow up so they could raise you, and you'll do the same thing. you dont need to change who you are, just keep traveling down the road of life with your same values and likes, and see where you end up. i garuntee you will be happy and excited if you experience new oppertunities, yet always find the time to go home for the occasional weekend.

There's nothing you can do to not become 20 years old.
But why do you care? What do you think will happen?
You won't even notice the difference. (Did the whole world instantly change when you turned 10?)
