You need to give a bit more info. The free software for PCs is easily downloaded, easily removed, and easy to use. They are becoming more compatible with each other as well. So, what is the problem? There is a program for web chatting from a company called AIM. I haven't used it, you sign up, it must have a plug-in/download, and with the proliferation of good IM programs, I am sticking to tried and true IM software.
