Do you agree with that.

"About 2.2 million. It used to be larger percentagewise, but Episcopalians tend to be better-educated and tend to reproduce at lower rates than some other denominations. Roman Catholics and Mormons both have theological reasons for producing lots of children."

All of Bishop Schori's 2.2 million Episcopalians live in the United States of America, one of the world's richest nations.

Most of the 1.1 billion Catholics live in poorer countries in Central and South America, Africa and Asia. For example, there are over 250 million Catholics in Africa, over 145 million in Brazil, and over 123 million in Mexico.

I find it very easy to believe that the average U.S. Episcopalian has a better education than the average Catholic.

With love in Christ.

She doesn't flat out say that Catholics and Mormons are less educated. However, if she is, her statement is ambiguous enough that we don't know if she's talking about the American or world population. Either way, don't stress about it. She may be hinting that Episcopalians are better educated and are better reasoned in choosing their religion however, the ambigiuity of the statement nullifies whatever she's hinting at right off the bat.

She thought that she was making an obvious sociological generalization.
She was trying to explain the embarrassing decline in numbers in the American Episcopal Church.

I'm an Episcopalian and I find her explanation embarrassing.
I wish I could personally apologize to Roman Catholics and Mormons.

Priest suspended after saying she also is Muslim

SEATTLE — An Episcopal priest who announced last month that she is also a practicing Muslim has been suspended from the priesthood and other Episcopal leadership roles for a year.

It doesn't matter WHAT she means, she's dead wrong. There are well educated people in EVERY religion (except perhaps Islam). Shori even claims that homosexuality is "a gift from God." She's a wacko who needs to be removed and just might very soon!

The Episcopals are having some heavy duty meetings this week to decide what to do about the huge rift that is tearing their church apart, caused by condoning homosexuality in their priesthood.

Pretty sad stuff.

I am Episcopalian and I know people from other faiths. I don't find this to be true at all.
