I can crack my big toe at least 50 times in a row. Since I was young. Now my knee cracks and both ankles a few times a day. I am only 28 not sure why I guess my bones are bad.
At the rate I'm going I will have arthritis in 5 years

This was on Tyra recently and the doctor speaking said that cracking your knuckles does not cause arthritis... but over time it can tear your ligaments (or something).

i do it lots and worry, but my lecturer said all it is, is the bones seperating to cause a pocket of fluid which causes it to make the noise
some say it does and others dont
old age, wear n tear, but i personally think it could be damaging after many years

aparently it can, it wears down the cartillage between the bones and that causes crystals or something to form and that arthirits, i have no cartillage in my shoulders and they dislocate easily and when your cracking your knuckles your dislodging them from the joint socket thing so ide stop doing it if i were you.plus its a very irratating sound, my boyfriend does it and it drives me insane

i have to say that it does because cracking your knuckles makes your knuckles swell up and cause artheritis.
