i would talk to your friend first. be like i likes him for a while and havent told anyone. and hopefully she will understand. and if she does just see which one of you the guy likes. no need to get in a fight over a boy.

In light of your crush on him (and now finding out out your friend also has a crush on him), I think you have done just about all you can do in the interim.When you talked to him, what did you find out? If he likes your friend and would like to date her, keep your mouth shut and step aside for your friend. However, if you found out that he likes you instead, then you have to 1)tell your friend.explain that you had a crush on him also and was willing to keep quiet and give her a clear shot at him; but you now know that he likes you and wants to be with you.2)let the guy know the situation also. this way if your girlfriend decides to try to sabotage your effort with him, you would have beaten her to the punch and also shown him that you are honest and play fair.If he elects to go with her( or tries to play games with the both of you), you can always act with dignity.No matter what happens, you will have proven that though you have a crush on him you are not a girl who will backbite or stab a friend in the back.Good luck no matter what you decide.

why do you capitolize everything???? thats just weird!
anyways, dont tell your friend cuz my friend did the same thing and we all knew it was just cuz she always needs to be the center of attention. but so yeah.......you should ask him if he likes you and just get it over with.....but not face to face, do it in a note onominously saying do you like _your name_?
it usually works but anyways so yeah you will never know if you dont ask. but dont end a friendship over a guy that neither of you are probably going to marry.
