Some of them might be able to produce decent biofuels but even so biofuels aren't really the answer to our problems (we'll need synthetic fuel if we also want enough food not to starve everyone).

I would say yes, because they use hemp to make rope and other products. As long as you are not smoking or using the drugs for a natural high, it is fine. But however, it is illegal to grow or purchase illegal substances.
