When a person's first act upon entry into this country is to break one of our laws, why would you expect them to respect any other laws. Illegal aliens are cheats that want to go to the head of the line, they have no respect for anyone else's rights and they will cross any line they have to in order to get their way.

I believe this is one of the reasons that the government wanted to pass comprehensive immigration reform. That way people would come out of the shadows and be able to use their own names, id's, etc. The way it is now, if they don't use a fabricated ID, they run the risk of deportation. They are also subject to lower wages because they are illegal.
The way it is now, they can't use their own ID's so therefore they have to use someone else's. It isn't harmless and it would be better if they would just go home and come in legally.

Rationalization. If you really want to commit a crime, you can come up with reasons why it's not 'wrong' for you to do it. Similary, if you're pre-disposed to view a certain group of people favorably, then you'll tend to minimize the severity of any wrongs they commit.

Because there is NO consequence they have to pay. Deportation maybe? They just hop back over. It makes me sick how many crimes they get away with! ... and all they get is just a slight shove (if THAT) back over the border.

Because they are the illegal aliens who have to have fake documents. Citizens who do this go to prison and no one thinks it's wrong to send them to prison. It's another factor than illegal supporters are in denial about...illegal aliens are just as accountable for any crimes and there is no justification for it.

There are an increasing number of people who don't believe in the rule of law, it is as simple as that.
