Well since 8 i wanted to do it, And Finally i joined this year. I gotta call from my parents saying that they are cutting my tuition, any financial help, and not to return home. Well now i am very upset, and I dont know what to do. I am GMC Cadet not a scholarship cadet, but i really don't want to quit. All my life, I just dreamed of being an AF Officer. Everything in my life revolved around the idea of being an officer. I haven even accepted in my life that i won't be rich or anything, because i will be in the military. I always did well in school with the only motivation that i need to do well to become a officer. Its over now. I am done.

Just curious WHY did your parents cut you off?

That sucks Guess you'll probably have to enlist to get the financial assistance needed to finish college but in the process go to Iraq that much sooner. Hopefully then you can finish and go on to become an officer.
If your that determined you'll find a way.

If you are in your 1st(Freshman) or 2nd(Sophomore) year of R.O.T.C. ,then you can resign without consequences but once you begin your 3rd(Junior) and 4th(Senior) you have an obligation to serve which is a mandatory 3 or 4 year non-commissioned enlistment. The highest you can begin will be as a Staff Sergeant. If you do not have an ego then you can fail all of the courses and that will expel you.

Your parents must not love you - Serving in the military is one of, if not the most, honorable things an American can do. Tell your parents that their little ploy did not work and that you will find another way to finance your education and fulfill your goal of serving your country - that's what an U.S. Air force officer would do.

Sorry about your parents. They suck. Didn't they see this coming?

That said, you're defeated that easily? Damn, that's a little scary. If you're committed to the air force, then please, apply for those scholarships, apply for financial aid, get legally separated from your parents (so they don't have to sign anything), part time job, work your bum off. Others have done it, and if you're committed, so can you.
