Do you acknowledge that you probably use the same logic and reasoning to every other god (whether you have studied them or not) that Atheists use to your god?

I'm just curious. Because then maybe you can put yourself in our shoes if only for a moment and understand that we just use that same logic and reasoning on your god as well.

As you can probably see from the answers above, no, Christians do not acknowledge that they probably use the same logic and reasoning to every other god (whether they have studied them or not) that Atheists use to their god.

A very interesting question. However, while I have at times been curious as to whether other gods exist, I don't believe that I have applied the sort of logic and reasoning that you are discussing.

To do so would be non-sensical. As you have stated, the logical conclusion of doing that with one god would lead to the rejection of all gods.

My mind has been opened to and experienced the reality of the spiritual. Because of my personal experience with the spiritual, I have been able to conclude that God is real. This of course opens the doorway to what else in the spiritual realm might be real.

The Bible itself at times suggests things like "the Lord is above the other gods" that allow one to believe that other gods might be real. So the question then becomes are they real and if so, what are they?

This is a very different process than what you are describing for the atheist. Having read Paul who condemns the elemental powers, I have concluded that we are probably talking about demonic presences posing as gods.

Whatever they are the scripture and my own personal experience make clear that only the Lord is worthy of worship. This is a logical process based on personal experience, but it is not the logical process followed by the atheist.

I do understand your logic. As I said, to use such logic against one god, I agree would logically lead to the rejection of all gods. Logically the existence of God has always been very real to me. But the most important part of my decision that God is real has been my own personal experience.

No, I know that the one true God, Creator of heaven and earth exists and that many other gods exist! To some, the moon god, Al-lah, is god, to some, Vishnu, to some, Gaia, to some, money, or to others, fame, or beauty, etc., is god. And Satan is god of this present age.

How *sad* that you *used* to be a Christian and no longer are! Frankly, I cannot see how *anyone* who had *really* accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of his life and had a personal relationship with Him, could *possibly* turn his back on the one, true, God of the Universe!

However the Bible *does* say that in the latter days, some would fall away and in Luke 9:62, Jesus said, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God."

Also, we know the Word of God is true and "that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:10,11 "Even the demons believe . . . and shudder." James 2:19b

Well Webster dictionary says that an atheist believes there is no God. So your definition does not fit. Personally, I'm not sure how anyone can not believe in a supreme force of nature (Like God) when they look at the amazing world around us, but you are in-titled to your own opinion.

I can't believe the answers you got on this question.

no I am not an atheist to other god,

i am an agnostic to other gods.

I know that other gods exist, for one of the 10 commandments is, thou shall no other gods before Me.

although I know that there are other gods, and that they are worshiped by other people.

I serve only one God.

I understand what you are saying. I believe there is a god but I also think there are other gods or gaurdians or something like that.
A good example are the Cathlics with there saint. They worship different saints as will as God.
I don't try to make people believe in what I do. I know there are a great deal of people who believe in muiltiple gods.
I hope this helps

i like the respond above me. additionally, the meaning of God is created by skill of commonplace way of existence. If God replaced into everyday to be a fish, an atheist could quite be arguing that a speaking fish would desire to no longer exist.

Modern science will soon prove that the God Yahweh is the only God that exists and will prove all other gods don't exist. Science will also prove that Jesus does exist and is who He says He is. Which will make Christians atheists to other gods that exist only in the mind's of man.

As a Christian, I believe in one God. Is Jesus the only route? Frankly, I am not 100% sure. To answer your question, though, I would absolutely not state this to another person of my faith since it would considered sacrilege. Jesus is my route. Your route may be just as valid.
