Its not a case of predicting.Humans cannot predict. It is just a method of calculation and the odds are uneven.People are more likely to listen to phycics or Nostradarmis rather than the greatest of them all, Jesus Christ. Many things predicted in the bible were predicted thousands of years before they happened historically, and archeologists can confirm this as fact. The invasion of Babylon, by King darius for example. The answers are all found in the scriptures about whats going to happen in the immediate future.God said he would destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, he did, God said he would flood the earth, he did, if he promises to bring his holy war, Armageddon, he most certainly will.Jehovahs witnesses do not have a man as a prophet but the son of god, no less than jesus christ himself, If you read the bible. in matt 24, he left signs or clues, that would mark what he described as, the conslusion of the syetem of thngs or the end of the world, as many would say, this would begin, with the first world war, which would be a mark, and also the begining of what was described as the gentile times, where the jews would no longer be considered part of gods holy covenant and his redemption would extend to all peoples, for a chance to have the benefits of christs sacrifice and compassion. Most of the prophecies have been fulfilled already, (1) the war over oil in iraq, Jw's have been preaching for years, (2) and now the religious disention earthwide the war has caused, will force the hand of the governments to ban religion, and all churches, to be closed and their wealth taken away from them, it can be done, henry the 8th did it in the 15th century, and then they will turn violently on religion, 9described in the bible as BABYLON THE GREAT...) that is when christ says, he and Jehovah god will step in to rid the earth of their oppsoers, to reunite his god-fearing people with everlasting life in a paradise, which is why christ preached about the kingdom which is literal, and not in your heart, it was to be set up in heaven to rule over these subjects, with a number found In Rev 14 V 7 of 144,000, kings and princes, chosen specailly from the earth to go to heaven to rule alongside Jesus christ.I hope that answers your question.

they said 1914 and look, a world war started. machine guns, tanks, poison gas, airplane, submarine all new inventions right around that time period. they said something would happen that year and now they see that jesus was enthroned as king and cast satan out of heaven rev. 12:9. maybe not the end of the world but close.
they said 1925 for good reasons too although i wont list them here. again close but no.
they said 1975 because it was 6000 years since adams creation. yeah that's a fact. ask a bible scholor (not a witness).
there were other years listed as the end but all for biblical reasons. after 1975 though they promised never again.
matt 24:36 "Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father."

The accusation against the Watchtower is that it is a false prophet, and so some, then, jump to the conclusion that Jehovah's Witnesses cannot be the true religion.
However, that is not sound reasoning. The ancient nation of Israel was plagued with false prophets from within. But did that mean that Israel was not God's special property?
Of course not. The apostle Peter referred to the false prophets of Israel and also foretold that spiritual Israel would also be plagued from within by such men. 2 Peter 2:1 says: "However, there also came to be false prophets among the people, as there will be false teachers among you."

Oh my gosh, it seems they are saying it all the time and yet do they admit that they adhere to Nazis and were one of there biggest supporters of Hitler?
I got mad at them coming to my door with their watch tower stuff and I had just had enough of them telling me I was damned to Hell for being Catholic and I it just came out about them and Hitler and the Nazis and they are going to tell me I am damned? Don't think so, I know so. They at least in the States are still trying for Hitler's pure race. There is no more pure race here and doubt that there is much in the world today.
So, to get them off of my porch with their lies which yes could very well be demonized. I tell them I am an atheist and I take there news rag and toss it into the trash with them standing there hanging with their mouths wide open. And, then wish them a good day and shut the door. But, there are not getting the message and keep coming back!! I peek out the window when I hear banging at my front door and if it is them, I don't open my door at all anymore. Of course they leave the magazines and I just put them right into the trash I keep outside
Good Question!!!

They predicted the end of the world in 1914 and 1978.
They also say that God is the author of "The Watchtower" magazine, which they place on the same level as the Bible (see Watchtower magazine 15th April 1943 p127)
J Rutherford who was one of their founders said in his book "Preservation" (1932) that the way God communicates to Jehovah's Witnesses is through the Watchtower Magazine (p 104)

I think that every religion has the so called Armageddon when all that's bad in the world will be washed away and those that are loyal, those that are faithful will be able to live in a world free from evil free from strife a world made in harmony.
I respect everyone for who and what they believe in and I guess I'm not of a high enough authority to be able to really answer a question about the end of the world but I hope what I have said has been of assistance.
Thank you!!

More than once..... more than twice... and guess what...still not happening.
JW says Watchtower speaks as a prophet...
but ask them ..not "did your organization really put a date on it", ask them..."did you excommunicate the person picking the date when God proved they weren't talking for Him, or did you come up with more and more excuses so as to defend the person instead of admitting that same person just plain ol' did not speak for God as they had been teaching."
That's the real question...why still with them?

Jehovah's Witnesses have never pretended that they are infallible or inspired. Jehovah's Witnesses have never pretended that they experience miraculous messages from God or Christ. For more than a century, Jehovah's Witnesses have always presented their suppositions as the result of sincere bible research, rather than as "predictions" or "prophesying".
Interestingly, however, even those Christians who did enjoy direct communication from heaven at times came to wrong conclusions; these wrong conclusions were even communicated "out among the brothers"!
For example, the apostle Peter enjoyed remarkable privileges in the early congregation, but it seems that he was the source of an incorrect teaching about the apostle John that was not formally corrected until several DECADES had passed, and John himself finally wrote his gospel about 98 C.E.
(John 21:21-23) Peter said to Jesus: “Lord, what will this man do [that is, the apostle John]?” Jesus said to him: “If it is my will for him to remain until I come, of what concern is that to you? You continue following me.” In consequence, this saying went out among the brothers, that [the apostle John] would not die. However, Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but: “If it is my will for him to remain until I come, of what concern is that to you?”
Jehovah's Witnesses apply the term "prophet" only in a very limited sense to themselves as a religion, not to individuals. The Scriptures indicate that whenever Jehovah purposes to execute judgment upon a people, he always makes arrangement for a 'prophet's work' as a warning. Their self-description as a "prophet" (in this limited sense) does not indicate special inspired knowledge or foreknowledge, but their willingness to perform Christ's assigned warning work in our day leading up to Armageddon.
What group is working harder than Jehovah's Witnesses to preach God's message globally (as Noah did before the Deluge)?
(Amos 3:7) For the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will not do a thing unless he has revealed his confidential matter to his servants the prophets.
(2 Peter 2:5) Noah, a preacher of righteousness...
(Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.
