Get caught coming in...mulligan. A bus ride home and a next-day-do-over - check. Make it through and get caught, appear in Court, get a hearing date, skip bail...mulligan. Check. Find a place to live in a safe city, get sick, get free care and meds at the local ER - check. Find a job, get 10 X what you could have made at home, pay no taxes, get cash under the table - check. Have kids (marriage - optional) at the ole ER (paid for by the locals). Put them in school (paid for by the locals) and refuse for them to learn the language (spoken by the locals). Get them into college free or at a resident's tuition rate (paid for by the locals) - check. Come on hard times along the way, need food or shelter assistance...maybe some help with the electric bill (paid for by the locals)- check. Make it to retirement, receive Social Security and/or disability until you die (paid for by the locals) - check. Leave whatever's left of your "estate" to your survivors, tax free and with no State intervention...check.

All I have to do in exchange is what? Vote Democrat? Phhhhht...I'll do it as many times per day as you want, man...so long as you all keep that "no ID required" gizmo going...

The person presenting the question will be accused of both racism and xenophobia for this.

Yet how is it racism to want the laws of your country enforced, not danced around?

How is it xenophobia to want a secure border, especially in time of war? When we are dealing with individuals - even if they genuinely intend no direct harm - who clearly demonstrate they hold no respect for either our laws or society?

Mexico vigorously prosecutes the illegals in their country, yet charge us as being "cruel and inhumane".

Can no one acknowledge the hypocrisy in this?

The questioner is angry, like a lot of Americans. And I believe it is a valid anger. I fear it will lead to something drastic soon.

I just hope it does not turn to senseless violence.

ILLEGAL and PROUD??? Proud of what?? If you are actually proud to be an ILLEGAL ALIEN you have some serious issues that need to be resolved . I believe that your country of origin is currently taking certain mentally challenged citizens back under a new program designed to put you back into school at your proper grade level,In your case 6th grade. You should take them up on it ,you might eventually learn some common sense....

In the short term illegal immigrants pay into the Social Security system which is almost bankrupt.

They also provide recruits for the military.

The Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors Act, or DREAM Act, is part of the stalled package of proposals that many in Congress are seeking to resurrect. The proposal, applicable to an estimated 750,000 undocumented residents of military age, stipulates that those who arrived in the United States before age 16, graduated from high school, and meet other qualifications could immediately enter the path to citizenship in exchange for at least two years' service in the armed forces.

But not all of them pay taxes.

Illegal Immigration negatively affects American Workers, the Unemployed, and Unions.
It also hurts the Environment by increasing Urban Sprawl.

Tancredo, Ron Paul, and Hunter have the most conservative voting records on immigration.

Of these three, Ron Paul has the best chance of winning the Primary election.
Paul's campaign has almost 5 times as much money to spend as Tancredo.

Ron Paul has stated that he wants very strong borders and he was appalled that our government had taken border guards off of our borders to send them to Iraq.
http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig8/haman3.html

This is his six point plan:
Physically secure our borders and coastlines. We must do whatever it takes to control entry into our country before we undertake complicated immigration reform proposals.
Enforce visa rules. Immigration officials must track visa holders and deport anyone who overstays their visa or otherwise violates U.S. law. This is especially important when we recall that a number of 9/11 terrorists had expired visas.
No amnesty. Estimates suggest that 10 to 20 million people are in our country illegally. That’s a lot of people to reward for breaking our laws.
No welfare for illegal aliens. Americans have welcomed immigrants who seek opportunity, work hard, and play by the rules. But taxpayers should not pay for illegal immigrants who use hospitals, clinics, schools, roads, and social services.
End birthright citizenship. As long as illegal immigrants know their children born here will be citizens, the incentive to enter the U.S. illegally will remain strong.
Pass true immigration reform. The current system is incoherent and unfair. But current reform proposals would allow up to 60 million more immigrants into our country, according to the Heritage Foundation. This is insanity. Legal immigrants from all countries should face the same rules and waiting periods.

Get rid of welfare, get rid of the socialist system.
If they come they have to work and compete for job positions like anyone else. And pay for their own health, food and education.
The ID thing is not an issue.

Vote for libertarian candidate Ron Paul.

Wake up-Republicans and corporations want immigrants as much or more than Democrats. Really. I'm currentlt traveling and the US government was just here encouraging students here to seek opportunities in the US. Not kidding, it was in the newspaper. The estimated seven million or so illegal immigrant workers in the United States are now providing the system with a subsidy of at least billion a year for social security and medicare taken out of their paychecks and they don't get it back.. Cheap workers, while ignoring any workers laws the US has, what more can Republicans ask for?
