my wishes are that the iraqis and afgans assume control of their own countries and the US to stay out of the middle east before they ignite a larger war that could blow up into a nuclear exchange .. at the least i think the US is making the world hate them, making enemies, making other large countries with nuclear capability apprehensive of long term US intentions, and making enemies that will make long term plans to possibly unite and find a way to destroy the US ..

The US thinks these people think the way American people think. The Middle East is still largely a tribal society. Americans have a strong national identity, and a borderline religious commitment, but it is not tribal.. This is why Americans do not understand Mideastern people. I wish a peacefull and orderly society for these countries. They need self government without US help. We are trying to remake them into a democracy. Democracy is a Greek idea. They have had contact with Geek ideas in the past, but the ideas about democracy did not seem to catch on.
