Actually if you were to fact check your information (God ******* forbid you do that), you'd find that the most dangerous nations in the world are in Europe. America's has the eight highest crime rate in the world and in front of it are six European nations, and right behind it are two more.
America is the birth place of capitalism where a poor kid can become a rich adult. Unfortunately where a stupid drunk can become President, but yes it is the land of opportunity. Rich politicians are indeed trying to squander it though.

Let's see:
I have a high school education with a few college credits.
I spent close to 8 years in the U.S.Navy.
I worked hard and acquired the skills needed to start a manufacturing plant from the ground up.
I'm a 40 something self-made millionaire.
I believe that the American dream is achievable and wouldn't wish to live anywhere else( and I have traveled all over the world)in the world.
Prisoners of the government? I am free to do as I wish and can leave this great nation any time I wish.
Not Safe? I still leave my door and windows un-locked.
Stay where you are,you couldn't handle the responsibility that comes with the freedom we enjoy.

It's no more violent than any other country. We just have enough freedom of the press that anybody can report on anything. In some other countries, if you report on the horrible things going on there, it's grounds for execution. So, the world just hears about our violence because of the media.

It's weird how Americans get offended when somebody says something bad about their nation. Face it, it's not perfect, just like any other country. Most of the times, the people who come with "the greatest nation in the world" crap are the same people who have never been to another country, and believe that anything that's different is bad.
I am not American, but at the moment I live in America. It's ok, there are good sides and bad sides. One thing is for sure, I will not stay here, so don't worry.. Sure, there are things that work better here, that's why I'm in the US now. What bothers me the most is that Americans are so proud of their "freedom", and fail to realize that they really don't have much of it, compared to any other place where I've lived, including countries they (the Americans) routinely accuse of not respecting human rights.
Get over it. The answer to "What is the greatest nation in the world?" is NOT "The United States". In fact, it's quite sad if anyone thinks there is an answer to that kind of question at all.

As an American, I implore you to get that message out. Especially to the 12-20 Million illegal immigrants that are here and to the millions more that have or will try to come here illegally. Perhaps if we can convince them that the American Dream doesn't exist, they'll stay home. Maybe then the American citizens can enjoy the dream that they've worked so hard for.

That's an important question, thank you for bringing it up. For all those living outside the 'States, let me clue you in to the big lie. America is not a nice place. It may seem like Americans are all 'rich,' but, in reality, most can barely afford to live - they may get paid a lot of money, but everything is expensive here. Crime is rampant, the government just wants it's taxes, infrastructure is crumbling, and jobs are our number one export. Heck, the last thing you want to do is come here to work. Stay where you are, we'll get our jobs to you soon enough.

We have done everything we can to save your butts from aggressors so you can continue to live in your blissful world as you see fit. That's what happens when you give too much. You become poor and your friends become rich. Hopefully they will not lose respect?

I guess you had better ask the hundreds of thousands of people sneaking in here illegal on both sides of the border.
Better still, ask the people of Darfur if they would rather live in the United States.
