Oh my what a wonderful thought. Can you envision a country being run by people with common sense, decency, and moral convictions. The criminals would actually have less rights than the officers who guard them, laws would be enforced fairly, judges with personal agendas would have to find new jobs, schools would actually be places for our young people to get an education, Dr., would be more concerned with the patient than their bank account, people would play sports for the fun of it not the money, American Aid would first go to Americans needing aid. Foreign aid would consist of implements to plant crops, seed for planting, materials to build canals and reservoirs for people and crop use, medical aid and food until the farms produce. Health Insurance would be available to everyone provided by the gov. by tax dollars now being spent on rebuilding foreign countries that are against our way of life. Congressional salaries would not be lifetime paychecks, they would pay into SS the same as everybody else who works. Their terms would be limited to two terms of 2 years each for a maximum of 4 years in Congress/Senate. So much for pie in the sky hope for the Gov.

Kansas would have a Democratic senator, with good fashion sense, for the first time ever!! Actually, it couldn't be any worse than it is now, seriously. With the right people, we could possibly make it better. But then again, I'm frequently too optimistic for my own good. (((((JMD)))))

the country would be better off!

the "people" there now have been in the system far to long... replacing everyone at once would be a breath of fresh air to the country!

EVERYONE in the country would be watching C-Span all day because it would be so entertaining. They'd probably have the best drinking game ever set up around it.

not much at all would change. You would still have people who agreed to wanting to kill eachother but won't for political stability, many issues would arrise, but no solutions would ever be obtained... and every bit of insight would be speant on voiceless answers to loaded questions.

Absolutely hilarious! We'd literally fight like they do in the Chinese congress meetings!

*why can't we all just get along?* (rodney king, ladies and gentlemen)

Probably a lot less gay sex in the men's rooms.

Not that there wouldn't be ANY - but I mean, we're replacing *Congress* here.

We'd never get anything done, because everyone is too busy trying to prove who is right and wrong rather than do something meaningful.

*sings: "Why can't we be friends?"*

Spirit Wanderer- honey, you got a thumbs up from me, and I'm L.D.S.

Then we would finally have well-meaning atheists in public office. Can I be the Distinguished Senator from California?
