I know it probably varies from place to place...but is it usually 16 or 18??

usually gyms allow only 18+ to use the weight equipment and 14-16 for cardio, classes ect. Under 18 your parents will need to sign this agreement on your behalf

18 is the usual age that you can join a Gym

u can join a gym from any age if u are with parents, however ur not allowed to use the actual gym and equipment till 16 in the one i go to but that still leaves swimming, racquet sports etc.

its 16 but it should be 18 as peoples bodys can be damaged if they do too much exersise before there fully developed

I guess it depends on the gym. Most gyms, you would have to be 18 and sign a contract.

my daughter has been going to the gym since she was 14,i think it depends on the gym

I think lots of places welcome younger than that now...in a drive to eliminate child obesity
