Im not thinking about killing myself. I just wanted to ask a thought provoking question for a change. I like to get peoples opinions on stuff. My life sucks sometimes but its not that bad. I am a single dad with a 5 yr old son I would never ever kill myself.

Hello Micheal,
My daughter who is 17, often says "oh I wish I were dead" but if I killed myself I would go to hell, and then I would be no better off...
Suicide is of course the cowards way out of lifes problems...its also very selfish because the people you leave behind are the ones who suffer hell as well...
I truely believe if you kill yourself as a coward then you pay for it in your next life...its not the way to deal with lifes hardships....I can only tell you that maybe if we are all true to ourselves and admit that there are days that we feel there is nothing but loss or sadness...and learn that those days are sent to us..to give us compassion to understand others who may be worse off than us...
My daughter goes and volunteers in an orphanage where there are 40 babies who have no mothers...she comes home and says she feels better ...I hope my advise helps you understand that we all feel sometimes life can be just too hard...maybe you should go an cuddle a kid who has no one...

Are you having these thoughts? I'm going to assume you are and will try to me objective. Sounds like you have an issue with guilt. The guilt that you would put upon others if your thoughts turn into action. I have thought about this too. The problem isn't really about going to hell. Someone thinking about suicide will likely have many issues to deal with. Worrying about going to hell reflects the struggle between suicide and your religious up bringing.
Now my objectivity aside. My concern is why would you ask this question and adding in "give your thoughts and opinion". If my assumptions are correct, please find someone to talk to.

I'd like to die, but I'm afraid to kill myself because I might screw it up, & either end up suffering a long panifull death, or I'd wake up in a hospital only half dead, trapped in a lifeless body, & now unable to make another attempt because I lost the physical ability to do it.

i am not afraid to kill myself.
and im definitley not afraid of hell, because, im sure that im already in hell, living here.
i am not going to kill myself, at this exact second, because i care about the people that care about me
and dont want to make them sad.
thats it.

i don't believe there is a hell...
