Could I have gotten a ringworm from my fiance if he had athlete's foot?

I have what appears to be a ringworm on my neck and no idea where it came from. My fiance recently had (maybe still does have) athletes foot. I'm thinking I got the fungus from him because sometimes he'll put his feet on me, but before I go accusing him has anyone heard of this?

Yes, it can be passed on that way, but no way of knowing if it came from him, someone else, or even if you caught it naturally, so I wouldn't blame him, but I would suggest the remedy to him if he has it too.

I've always been very susceptible to athlete's foot and have had it spread to my hands or even under my wristwatch band when I was a kid.

Use a simple over-the-counter spray or cream/lotion containing Tolnaftate 1% and it'll go away after about 3-5 days. Tinactin works great.

Well, technically ringworm and athletes foot are the same fungus. So...I would imagine you could get it that way. Not certain though, sorry.

No idea, they are basically the same thing though. But if you dip a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and use tape to secure it overnight it will be gone in a week or so. And he should get treatment as well.

You know that actually happened to me, It is highly contageous and I suggest cleaning the tub every single time you shower. Besides foot power for shoes and foot spray for feet.

It is possible but athletes foot, jock itch, ring worm, c-diff and vaginal yeast infections are all caused by the canididia just that it is showing up in different places. You may have just developed it on your own if the bacteria started to take over.
