I always have a hard time understanding these. First they say don't worship false idols, then they turn around and say to keep Black Sabbath holy.
Just another inconsistency.

1)I know I don't covert my brothers wife ewwww! I don't really do jealousy but that that **** next door has just bought a convertable which I might just have to accidently brush past with my housekeys
2) I haven't murdered anyone, although I eat meat, Is that murder? or at least some sort of manslaughter
3) I idolise my mother and love my partner - so I guess that one is well and truly dashed to pieces!
4)Ummm the Sabbath - that really depends on what you regard as the Sabbath is the sabbath Saturday or Sunday? I guess I keep every day special so that is the closest I'll get to holy. I also avoid work at all costs on the weekend just to be sure (oweing to my earlier confusion as to which day of the week is the Sabbath) However then that conflicts with having to labour for 6 days a week! Hmmm I'm confused now.
5) I love my mum and dad (I can stick to that one) Although I did have some awesome teenage strops.
6) I don't steal unless you count 'borrowing' friends CDs, my partners credit card (when I've maxed my one out)
7) Bearing false witness - I guess sometimes that I do have a bit of a gossip, but I do try and be honest rather than hurtful.
Those are 7 or the 10 commandments I can remember and I guess I'm not doing very well at sticking to a by the book interpretation. It hurts my head too much. So I'm a sinner!

According to Wikipedia, various religions and denominations group the commandments differently. In these passages, I see I am not subject to the laws of the ten commandments at all--
Deuteronomy 15 Remember that you were a slave in the land of Egypt, and the Lord your God brought you out from there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm; therefore the Lord your God commanded you to keep the sabbath day.
Exodus 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, punishing children for the iniquity of parents, to the third and the fourth generation of those who reject me.
I am not a slave of Egypt, and I am way past the fourth generation out from original snners.
I don't think being nice, civil, human, loving, law-abiding, or honest has much to do with this archaic set of rules today.
I think I have broke every one of them, in a spiritual way...physically, not all of them.
I don't like God, he hurts children.
Don't look so surprised, it's only dogma...

How about I tell you the ones I haven't broken...
- Stolen anything (far as I know)
- Committed adultery
- Killed anyone
- Make idols
- Falsely accuse anyone
F*ck, where have I been? I've got some sinning to do... ;-)

Of those first ten, I would say I have broken, bent and even shattere beyond recognition at least ten of them. Of the others (over 278) I would say I have broken all of them that I was aware of. It is the nature of the beast.
