This is my stance on the whole issue.

The government shall make NO law regarding a woman's reproduction or any aspect thereof. They shall not fund abortion clinics with tax payers money, neither shall they prosecute or involve themselves in the right of privately funded clinics to operate within the proper safety meaures.

It is NONE of their business. Just like mensturation is none of their business. It is the epitiome of male arrogance to even assume any kind decision regarding this rests with them.

This is the truth both pro-life and pro-choice people do not face up to- whether or not the government legislates for or against abortion, women will CONTINUE to have them. We have been handling our business for THOUSANDS of years before men attempted to interfere and this even became an issue and we will continue to do so.

If abortions were made illegal NOW, information and resources are now more readily available than ever on how to have one safely. Women have more resources at their disposal as well.

No government, no matter how much they "play" at coodling to the Christian Right will actually do it. They know there would be NO way to enforce such a law. The sheer magnitude of attempting to will cost MAJOR tax payer money. Do we intend to keep pregnant women in lock down until delivery. Do we put tracing devices on pregnancy tests?

That ship has sailed. It's time for pro-choice and pro-life people to see sense.

I am pro choice. As many have stated on here it is an individual decision.

I also feel this. My sister went to have an abortion done and the pro life people talked her out of it. It was her 6th child. She wasn't married and there was no chance of the father being around. Give the baby up for adoption? The baby is black.

Which one of those people that talked her into keeping this baby would have adopted her? How many people out there period that are trying to adopt would adopt a black baby? You rarely see it. They end up in the system going to foster home after foster home and become just another statistic.

As unpopular as it is.... I am pro-life. I understand all the positions, what-ifs, and considerations for the pro-choice camp. And I do respect the validity of the arguments presented. This world we live in offers up some detestable decisions that people are forced to make. But at the end of the day, I still feel that there is a baby in that womb from conception. Baby=life= though shall not murder. For me, end of story.

Trust me, its hard to maintain this belief in today's world. But I have spent considerable time with this issue and I come back to this conclusion every time.

Blessings to all.

LMAO!! Golf! Who knew golfers were so adamant about abortion?

I am pro-choice HOWEVER I think there needs to be a cutoff. That 23 week crap in CA is disgusting IMO. That's a baby that can survive outside the womb.

I think the mistake that pro-lifers make is believing that pro-choice means pro-abortion. Nobody likes abortion. It isn't nice, it isn't fun, it is actually very difficult and can be traumatic. However, the governement and the right wing lifers have no business telling anyone whether or not they can have one.

YES I am

I believe in the CHOICE to have sex with anyone that I want
I believe in the CHOICE to stay sober
I believe in the CHOICE to use contraceptives
I believe in the CHOICE to be married
I believe in the CHOICE to be happy

I believe that it is wrong to ask a doctor to kill a baby because you made bad choices that lead up to your pregnancy.

Life is all about making the right choices rather than reacting to circumstances or emotions.

Yes, I am pro-choice. I greatly value my right to make choices, and am ready to defend that right. I am also anti-abortion since no-one has the right to kill other human beings for their own convenience.

Yes. I've always felt I was taking the most liberal position in defending the rights of the unborn. Since they cannot speak for themselves, they are the most underrepresented and repressed group of Americans.

ok well

to a certain extent I am, like if the mother is a victim of rape and/or incest

if not, I think that she should have to face the consequences.....she choose to have sex, so now she must deal with the problems that may arise from her decisions

In high school I was completely prochoice, because I was immature, now I have seen my nephew and niece being born and I couldnt imagine someone killing an innocent life.....
