There is this area with tall apartment buildings overlooking lower manhattan (only seen in photos). Any place to stay near this particular area would be really helpful.

Marriott Courtyard near the Pavonia/Newport PATH station. Ask the hotel about getting a room with a view.
There are also other hotels along this strip (Washington Boulevard stretching southward from the Holland Tunnel and Pavonia Station).

do a search of liberty harbor and you may find a good place to stay
