I want to live with my uncle, so what do i do? i live with my mom now, but i dont like it here. We always argue , but its never abusive. I am only 13 and am in ohio. so what number can i call or what can i do to live with my uncle?

i cant live with my dad, hes physically unable to take care of me, and my uncle lives close to him so i would be able to see him everyday!

your mom might object and you can't run away because your mom has custody. I would seek services from DPS or talk to a counselor in school about other routes

I agree with 'letterst...' stay with your mother - don't ruin your relationship with her so early in life. As a mother myself, I would be heartbroken if my daughter was so unhappy she didn't want to live with me.

How can you be sure that you won't argue with your uncle once you're living with him? I don't mean to judge, but can I assume that these arguments with your mother are over her not letting you do things, making you do chores, etc.? If your Uncle is a suitable guardian, he will do this too.

If you're problems with your Mum can't be resolved and it's too much for you to handle, why not get your Mum, Dad and Uncle together and discuss it in a mature way. Maybe you can come up with a solution together?

Just because you want to live with your Uncle, does not mean you'd be welcome in his home.

You have a mother, and she loves you. It is perfectly NORMAL for a 13 year old and their mother to argue. what you need to do is listen to your mother, and stop arguing.

another thing you can do is be helpful to your mom... be kind and respectful. the nicer and more well-behaved YOU are, the more privileges you might get, and the less arguing you will have to put up with.

Your uncle is not your legal guardian, so you can't go there, anyway.. unless your mother signs over rights, and i doubt she will.

Love your mother. Someday you won't have her around anymore...

There's something called emancipation. where you can actually be emancipated from your parents and be treated as if you turned 18 at as young as 13. It also depends on your state but here's a little info...
