I want to lose weight and eat better but I work so much that it is sometimes hard to cook a descent meal. Is there an easier way? Has anybody found an affordable meal plan that doesn't take a lot of time and will help me lose the extra pounds?

Eating healthy and dieting doesn't mean that you have to have hard to prepare or weird foods. Many diet foods are the type that you can take on the run or are very easy to make.

For example: for breakfast how about a bowl of plain instant oatmeal with a glass of low fat milk. Then a snack between breakfast and lunch can be lite yogurt or a piece of fruit. Or you could even have a whey protein powder shake.

For lunch have lean sliced deli turkey or ham or other lean meat with lettuce and tomato, on 100% whole grain bread or 100% whole grain pita. For a snack have low fat cheese cubes or another piece of fruit.

For dinner have a large green salad, lean meat, veggies.
For an after dinner snack have fat free ice cream, low fat pop corn, lite yogurt or fruit.

Nothing is expensive ( I usually eat what ever fruit is on sale and same goes for my deli meat). Then yogurt and the rest is also cheap and there is basically no preparation. It's a very simple, easy diet. Oh, also water is pretty much free so drink up.

After a week or two you will notice that it was the junk food that cost the most money and that your grocery bill will actually go down.

There is a swollen tissue syndrome for male and female stomachs from some foods. Excessive acid making bacteria in the large intestine cause the belly to have large cells full of liquid. The excess acid has other side effects. There are too many BMs and that triggers over eating. Avoid all pure vegetable oils and use tree oils like olive and coconut. You will have to eat coconut oil twice a day to reduce the acid bacteria. After three days the BMs should be down to one per day. Binging will take at least a week. Wall mart sells the coconut oil in the cooking oil section.

Perhaps you could pack some healthy things to take with you to work, such as fruit and veggies, maybe some salad for lunch, and for a drink, maybe a water or flavored water.
