Seems like all the veteran drivers a few years back were systematically pushed out one way or the other and replaced with younger drivers with expectations of producing better overall race results. Some have proven successful but is it the drivers or the equipment that is most important? Have the majority of the young guns proven to be better or should they have kepts some of the veterans? Which ones?

Some of them have, look what Denny Hamlin has accomplished so far in his 2 years of racing in Nascar. Clint Bowyer has won 1 race, and Martin Truex has also won his first race this year. Kyle Bush as well he has won 4 races, and has made the chase 2 out of the 3 years he has been in Nascar.

They young guns have shown their style and ability.
They came on the scene with some of the best equipment and teams in the busuness. They also have the talent to run with the older veterans.
In the past 10 years there are several very good drivers that have shown their worth. But for everyone that does get the chance to race cup there are at least 5 others that are just as good that did not get the right chance.

Joe Nemecheck had a quality ride, Mark Marin has proved that, Front Row Joe...fast as hell when no one is on the track, put him out trhere with 42 cars...and a catastrophy is about to happen.

David Green? Could have been something, I will give you that.

The young guns have floundered a little I think, and some passed dominators, like Gordon and Stewart are coming, and I think the busch series right now has some drivers that will be forces in cup racing, Ambrose, Wallace, Coleman, McCumbee, several others.

I would say all in all they have done very good.
I have some problems thinking that Green, Nemecheck are any good but wrecking people and blaming the other person.
I do miss the old guys but it is fun to see some of the newer guys running on the old original tracks.

I personally would love to see them have a senior tour, with old rules, old point system. no top 35, no green, white, checkered if a red flag can't do it to have a green ending then you run the advertised distance under yellow and run the old original tracks that have some character rather than the new cookie cutter tracks the for some reason look like different versions of Michigan (which sucks). I would probably just watch the senior group and be very very happy.

I think for the most part the young guns have done quite well. I am curious as to how David Green would have done with all the opportunities Brian Vickers has had though. I also like to think Joe Nemechek could run well in a quality ride.
The pool is looking kind of thin lately though with Brad Coleman being the only young guy in the Busch series now that impresses me.

I think they have. Over all, they have did a great job competiting with the veterans. However, looking into the Busch series, I just don't see many young guys that are looking like the future of nascar. Brad Coleman seems to be the best one.

They are to busy shaving each other. Hamlin is a punk, and a crybaby. Every driver should move out of the way when the great whinelin comes up behind you. He is God.

Yes kyle Hamlin has already been one of the most successful in his short career on and off the track. The young Hamlin is definately the future of racing.
