I'm going to say that if it was only one time, that you shouldn't really worry about it too much, but, however, if you have them up really loud for long periods of time, than that might affect your hearing.
I'm not a doctor, though, but I believe one time wouldn't really effect you too much.

You may or may not have what we call a temporary threshold shift, another words maybe some slight hearing loss. If you continue to listen to loud music or have noise exposure of 85 db or more without hearing protection you may get a hearing loss on a permanent basis.

yes if you do it all the time. it has been proven that it will affect your hearing. you shouldn't listen to the music from your headphones louder than level 8 volume(if it has that option) any higher volume and you are risking your hearing. i know its hard as i love listening to it loud but it has become so common and many people have bad hearing due to the fact that they listen to music too loud for long periods of time.

over a great period of time yes... You have a tendancy to damage the ear drums... By this the membrains get strained and bleed slowing down the virbrating process of the drums to send the vibes to your brain... Just dont over do it. Good luck and good listening.. Grant M in Pennsylvania
