Not even close. Think about it, there really is no such thing as anything close to a universal reality. We can't even understand those in our own country, often times our own family even, and yet we hope to understand those who grew up in an entirely different set of circumstances.

Think of all the experiences that shape us throughout our childhood and adolescence. Literally, hundreds of thousands of experiences play a role in our upbringing. There have been cultures in the past, even present cultures in the Middle East, where things such as murder and rape were viewed as perfectly normal, these people viewed these things and were tought these things as normal every day, so in turn they would not think twice about viewing them as taboo.

Even in our own culture, where we grow up in similar circumstances, it is our personality that ultimately decides how we will take and use an experience to shape who we are. This is why even family members can often not have hope of truly understanding one another. Sure, people like to fool themselves and think they can truly understand someone, but this is only by looking at broad spectrum such as politics or religion. We might agree with each other all the time, but the reasons for which we agree or disagree are never exactly the same.

Christianity? The Church and the Holy spirit? Whether it be few or many. Some will be in one accord. You do not have a running bet with some angel! For if you did you would know that man will grow worse and worse. And if the days had not been cut short no one would survive that even the elect will be deceived if it was possible. Jesus tells us ahead of time. Matthew chapter 24.Signs of the end of the age.

Daniel 12. God knows and beyond mans imagination that man is like that.

In a previous thread, a bunch of Atheists were stating that a perfect world is impossible and that it's a Christian illusion.

As Buddhist, I beg to differ. The Buddhist path explains how, step by step, thought by thought, action by action, how that can take place.

If people really want to come together, they only thing holding them back, and others, and everyone, are themselves. Without a guide on "how" to do these things with a "why" backing, how would anyone expect to achieve these things?

The key is testing it for oneself.

Men can not except the ideals of each other, nor the wisdom.
As for religion leading the way: more wars were over religion than all other issues combined. So you cannot loose that bet. And what Angle was fool enough to take you up on it?

Unfortunately people will unite under the Antichrist who will deceive so many and bring what people believe is peace, justice and unity. This won't last long. His true colors will show and then we will know that evil is in charge. This will stop when Jesus returns. Only then will there truly be peace.

God Bless.

Human nature won't allow it. Perhaps if we survive long enough to evolve past where we are, we can come together, but until then, there will always be conflict.

not as long as there are organized religions...people trying to force their beliefs on everyone else...and trying to make the world them. with such superiority complexes, they have lost sight of God....and worship the created, rather than the creator....hence all of the wars, etc...
