What does the law say about taking pictures at public events?

If I go to a Middle school football game and take pictures of the action, the drill team, etc, can I post them on my website for parents to view? If it is a public event can I post any picture on the web?

Go to shutterbug.com and type "privacy rights" in the Search box. They had an article in the May 2007 issue about Privacy Rights & Copyrights.

It might be okay to post the overall scene but maybe a little iffy to post individuals.

Can you post them on your website? Have you seen the internet? Of course you can, just don't conceal the camera.
