Huh.. I didn't really approach anybody on the street and preached. (you make it seem so)
He was interested, he asked questions, we talked for ages, he got interested more and more and gradually, he started to believe. There were no methods of conversion, just an interesting debate.

We don't actively convert, but if people ask then we answer. Only the gods can call someone.
Ewwwww I sound like a Christian! Ack!
I like both atheist and agnostics. They are some of my best contacts here. They are open to real debate with out hurt feelings or acusations. Most of them anyhow.

favorite topic? method of conversation? I hope you jest.

I would think that to study methods and topics to bring to those seeking Jesus is an insult of the highest order. It means you've just taken something precious out of Jesus hands and forced it to fit your idea of what should happen.

You perhaps do not know that when someone is led to Christ, Jesus is the One in control of the conversation. The one witnessing need only get out of the way of their pride.

I have helped a couple of non-Catholic Christians to become Catholic. The credit goes to God, obviously, as only he can grant faith. But sometimes people have intellectual barriers to belief, and I made a small contribution towards removing those barriers, mostly by referring them to books.

My strategy is always to try to remove intellectual barriers, things that people perceive to be illogical or unreasonable for whatever reason, and show that belief in Christianity, and specifically Catholicism, in no way contradicts reason. It's up to God to grant them actual faith.

I have shared my beliefs with those who have subsequently joined my religion, but I don't consider anything I did to have "converted" them. People hear the facts and then decide for themselves. It is the Holy Spirit that converts, because ultimately, people must decide to act on what their heart tells them is truth.

I doubt any of the idiotic theists on this site have converted anyone.
