Headaches are a side effect of many sleeping pills. I get migraines from them, myself. Used to take Ambien.

It probably depends on what he/she is taking. I take dr. prescribed sleeping pills every night and if I get the correct amount of sleep that it says to have with them then I am ok. If I don't then I am very drowsy and I feel bad all day.

They most certainly can. Check with your doctor, or if you are taking a OTC try trying a different brand.

i found that they make me sleep too deep and gave me pain
as soon as i stopped using them the pain went away
