a deep purple signifies an extra strong, sometimes dark passion crossing the line into jelousy
a dark red is more of a young romantic passion shared between a new couple
a royal blue is a very strong passion so strong that it seems to imply a sense of hate
white is a pure, euphoric passion that conveys a felling of not being able to keep ones feet on the ground

Definately a deep rich red almost burgundy. Royal blue and purple. Those 3 colors especially in fabric or on canvas scream passion.

Red, in fact if you give red roses to a person in the German culture you have just told them that you love them.
When I was in the Army and stationed overseas this was an issue that we were specifically warned about.
I can see purple being a color of passion, but not black.

Reds and oranges...and yellows, too. Passion is usually thought of as a "hot" emotion, so look for "hot" colors.

Red and orange are actually labeled passion colours but lots of others do just as well expressing it.
