Do you know what is really in the heart of the person you judge and consign to your hell?

Have you looked into the demons eyes?
Have you seen the angels heart within?
Have you heard his lonely cries?
Yet you place upon him your sins.
Have you accepted that what you cannot know,
Is what's in the heart of another?
Do you realize that the man you judge,
Your deity calls your brother?

I wrote this as a question, but noone got it. They either assumed it was a request for a poetry revew, or lines from a song (I've never heard a song like that). Oh well, it was written in a moment of boredom anyway. lol

Goethe: I'm the one at the end of the fence, ripping it down. Is that answer sufficient?

oh i get what it's saying. it's really not too difficult. stop judging people and projecting your shame about yourself onto other people. we all judge what we see on the outside. only God can see where someone's heart truly lies.

Sweet. I can see peoples hearts. I don't know whether to call it a curse or blessing. Empathy is a heavy burden sometimes. But, I couldn't live without it. I see this poem as a chastisement and quest for understanding others and ourselves. Nicely done
haha Fences where I used to live indicated the neighbors had a falling out. .I'm at the end of the fence myself.

I like it. I haven't got a lick of poetic ability in me so I am always impressed when I read a good one. Well done even if I don't 100% agree with the overall message. :o)

I try not to judge and I don't consign anyone to hell. That's not my job.

Not corny at all, and it clearly illustrates why I do my best not to judge people.

Very true, for that reason we are told not to judge anyone. But please keep in mind judging a person ,and judging his/her actions are two different things.

you are absolutely correct...do not try to remove the speck from *YOUR BROTHER'S* eye until you remove the LOG FROM YOUR OWN...also, do not judge, lest you be judged by the same measure.
