Atheists believe in nothing metaphysical? No souls or nothing, right? no spirit world, just the physical, what-you-can-see world?
Do you agnostics believe in souls? a spirit world?

I wasn't trying to assume or answer my own question. I was trying to get clarification on what I thought. Thank you for all the answers.

Atheists hold differing beliefs when it comes to any supernatural elements. The only thing they all have in common is they don't believe in gods. I, personally, don't believe in any supernatural elements.
Agnostics don't claim belief *or* disbelief in gods.

I'm agnostic.
I don't think I believe in souls in the biblical sense of the word.
Honestly, I don't know what I believe. I just believe that there could be a higher power.
I'm an Agnostic leaning Atheist. I don't believe in god, but I'm open to possibilities...lol.
I do believe in ghosts and spirits...but not in the same sense as Christianity does.

Claims about much generality in belief among any group will be wrong. Atheists either, 1) lack a belief in a deity (or deities), or 2) Believe in an actual lack of a deity. That's all they have to have in common.
Agnostics say either 1) we don't know currently, so the question is open about the existence of a deity, or 2) Say the very nature of what one might equate with a deity suggests we cannot know. That's all they have to have in common.
ANY other beliefs are up for grabs.

Atheists lack a belief in gods. That's IT. That is the only defining characteristic of an atheist. The majority of the world's atheists are Theraveda Buddhists.
The word you're looking for is "secular". People who are secular do not believe in anything metaphysical. They are atheists by default. The majority of atheists in the West are secular or "pragmatic" atheists.
Agnostics, similarly, do not have any codified beliefs. Agnosticism is a position on knowledge (or the lack thereof), not a position on belief.

I'm an Atheist and don't believe in anything supernatural.
But that may NOT be true of all Atheists and it's not required to be an Atheist.
Like a another answer said; the only generalising you can make of Atheists is that none of us believe in a god.

Someone who believes only in the physical world (no souls, spirits, afterlife etc,) would be called a materialist.

Atheists don't believe in gods. That's the only generalisation you can accurately make about them.
Some agnostics believe in souls, some don't. They're a large and diverse group of people.

i am agnostic
i believe in energy
if a soul is energy than ok
i find most things regarding religion, spirits etc...are without explanations that make any sense
seeing spirits or whatnot as energy makes sense to me
energy has a matter

Agnostics believe that there may or may not be a god, and since there isn't any real evidence for god, choose to fence sit. I suppose I'm technically agnostic, but I behave as if there is no god, no afterlife, no heaven or hell. And it's been good for me.

We atheists are so dull! We don't believe in ANYTHING that doesn't exist.
How closed minded is that!
