As usual, fhotoace is right.

Will you be happy with green or gray images because that's what you'll get with nightvision scopes or binoculars or cameras? Yes there are some "real color" night vision cameras being developed but presently only for military applications. Even if a civilian version is released it will likely be prohibitively expensive for the average consumer.
