He is very socialized I have taken him to the dog park and doggie day car, he loves to go places but when I put the leash on and go out the front door he acts like acts like a big scardy cat.

He may be noise phobic or has associated something fearful with your walks. See links for tips on dealing with fearfulness and noise phobias.

Just keep doing it. Don't give up. Dogs go throw growing phases, just like kids. My dog went thru a "scardy cat" phase too.

don't stop walking him because that will only make it worse. The more you do it he will see nothing is going to happen to him. Use a high-pitched cooing voice and tell him how good he is when you are walking him. Walk fast and keep him distracted.

It might be the leash that he is unsure of.
Get him used to it by putting a short one on him and letting him go in the places where he is not scared. Hold it only occasionally. Let him go every now and then so he knows it is not a bad thing that will choke him.

He is still a baby... be patient with him... he will grow into his courage soon enough... When he bolts just stroke him (nose to tail) and in a quiet voice say it is ok... If you are not alarmed then it will stop...

Good Luck Hon

give him time. he is only a baby and the world has new things to him that can be a little scary. just when he is doing this don't give him any affection. this will only make it worse in the future! hope this helped!
