I currently have my spacers in my teeth right now and they are driving me crazy. How bad will the braces hurt when I first get them?

I had the same thing like u.
I had them on for a year-ish, they dnt really hurt just ache. But u have to brush em really well, otherwize when u get them off ur teeth will be yellow and there will be food stuck between ur teeth etc :)
Its well worth it thou now i have beautiful teeth.
To be honest the only bit that hurts is getting them tighted but thats only like every two months or somthing like that!
when u first get them on u can only eat soft food. Like pasta, soup etc NO APPLES OR CHEWING GUM for the first MONTH!

At first they hurt but then you will get use to them. When it hurt a lot is when they put on the elastics to closed up the spaces you have and some times the braces cut the bottom of the lip

about the same as the spacers, maybe a little more.
don't bite anything hard for a few days. every time you go back to the orthodontist and he adjusts your braces you will have pain for a few days.
other than pain for the first few days after each appointment, you should be fine

honestly mine did not hurt bad at all. i was really nervous to get mine because when my sister got hers on she was in a lot of pain for a while but mine were rather painless. I had to take advil for the first night and stuck to soft foods for the sole reason that my teeth were lose, but after that i was perfectly fine. As far as appointments, getting chains on after you have singles is pretty painful, and so are steel ties. good luck!

They CAN be really bad. I'm a wimp and I had a terrible time with pain. Some people say take Tylenol, but my doc gave me Vicodin right away. Guess I had 'wimp' written on my forehead because that's what I needed to dull the pain. Other people I know had virtually no pain.

they feel like the spacers but only for a day or two after they are put on and adjusted.
They dont really hurt as much as it just feels uncomfortable like pants that are too tight.
