It brings us closer to our Creator and you would have to get involved in any way to figure it out.

The church...The House of the Lord...*A* placeof fellowship and worship!
We are all individuals, with different personalities and different gifts *which come without repentance*.
The role of young people in the church is to be examples. Be mentors, pour out your gifts, discover your talents!
I am 22, been in church for 7 years and have discovered so much about myself!
It' is a blessing to be a blessing to others. I mentor the youth at the church, teach dance, mime, I am my pastor's administrator, I now play the drums-mind u- I've never had a lesson in my life. AND IM GOOD! Thank u Lord!
Church is the place to be. It is the thing to do! Bc GOD is real and HE loves to bless HIS people!

CCC 777 - The word "Church" means "convocation." It designates the assembly of those whom God's Word "convokes," i.e., gathers together to form the People of God, and who themselves, nourished with the Body of Christ, become the Body of Christ.
CCC 778 - The Church is both the means and the goal of God's plan: prefigured in creation, prepared for in the Old Covenant, founded by the words and actions of Jesus Christ, fulfilled by his redeeming cross and his Resurrection, the Church has been manifested as the mystery of salvation by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. She will be perfected in the glory of heaven as the assembly of all the redeemed of the earth (cf. Rev 14:4).
CCC 779 - The Church is both visible and spiritual, a hierarchical society and the Mystical Body of Christ. She is one, yet formed of two components, human and divine. That is her mystery, which only faith can accept.
CCC 780 - The Church in this world is the sacrament of salvation, the sign and the instrument of the communion of God and men.

The church today is no more than a social club. And kids get the worst of it.
Your role is to obey- it's hard to sit every Sunday knowing you are wasting your time. What I encourage you to do is find a church you can grow in- No! not one where they need you to get involved but 1st and foremost where you're relationship with God can grow. They should provide a mentor or someone who will disciple you.
And just as important as growth find a place where they heal you spiritually.

The Church is actually a group of people that are God's! A church is not a building, its the people in it that are the "Church" only god can decide what your role in it is, but do you pray for this revelation?

The Church is useless. Nowhere did jesus christ say 'you must all be rich and haord oyur posessions but go to chuch every sunday, pray and i'll elt you into heaven anyway' I seem to remember more emphasis on feeding the hungry etc. all that GOOD stuff before the concept of church was even introduced to the gospels.

The only way anyone typically discovers who they really are and who God really is ... is through a lifetime of full and active participation in all of the work, worship, sacraments, and devotions of the authentic and universal Christian church.
There is no substitute, and there is no better way.

Which church? You should be old enough to explore the questions you have and make a decision.
