Look for the one- way vac. valve under the hood. It's round and plugged into a vac. line and going into the dash. It's usually found at the brake booster. Replace it. Be sure you put it in the right way.

there is a vacuum valve that is bad...probably the one at the firewall that the vaccuum lines enter at the center position looking at the motor . That use to be the main problem there , when acceleration or deceleration causes the valve to quit working switching the direction of the flow to the heater/AC box control........etc.

You have a leaky or broken vacuum line that connects to the switch valve for the heating vents.

Take the dash off, i'll bet that the tubes that connect to the back either have come off, or have a hole in them.
