Cymraeg, iaith y nefoedd...Welsh, the language of heaven.

It's my mother tongue.

If you've never heard the 'cynghanedd' of Welsh poetry, you wouldn't understand.

Well, initially, I would have to say my mother tongue language, which is English. Why? Because it is the one that I am most comfortable with and I can pretty much guarantee that when you go to a foreign country where you don't understand most of what is going on because you don't speak the language, you will get back to someplace that speaks your own language and it will be the MOST beautiful thing you have ever heard!

Other than that, as far as foreign languages go, I would definitely say Italian. I love Italian and am working on learning it, although some other things have taken priority in my life right now, so I don't spend enough time on it. I will know it one day though -- it is my goal.

What makes a language melodious is the abundance of vowels over consonants especially hard consonants. Though there are sweet consonats like j (joy) and ch (cherry) that are also nice to hear.

Italian relies a lot on vowels and every word ends with a vowel which is the reason why it sounds so sweet. On top of it some of the consonants are often doubled giving a plesant sound like bellissimo/a (very beautiful)

French to me is also beautiful, but Spanish has the hard guttural j that they took from the Arabs which makes the language harder, though in Argentiina the j is pronounced like in joy which to me sounds better and softer.

I can't really speak about Asian languages but in general people from all over the world choose Italian as their favourite language to hear.

My mother tongue. Because as a child, the most joyous, sweet and adorable words that I heard were in that language, and spoken to me by my mother.

French sounds beautiful but the real beauty comes in the form of the most rich, expressive & poetic of all the languages; English.
