I personally prefer to work out in the evenings. After a long stressful day, it sure helps to work out the tension. I don't really think the bike will help will help with the 6 pack though. On the bike (my ex boyfriend / personal trainer told me) 30 minutes - doing it in reps of 4 minutes regular speed (15mph) and then 1 minute as fast as you can.

It is always good to exercise in the morning. Your body has been at rest so you "shock" it by exercising first thing. You can do some ab exercises but be careful because you will build up the muscle underneath the fat and push your belly out. DIET FIRST then exercise is the best way. Should take atleast 6-8 weeks of good eating to start to see a difference.

good luck

I walk for 45 minutes every morning first thing. it gets my metabolism going and makes me feel great. also, I have a hard time exercising at any other time. doing cardio with your stomach exercises will help burn more fat.
